Ok, I'm trying to get into UT Austin. I got a 2030 in May (630 M/660V/740 W). I decided to retake and I got 2080 (610 M/670 V/800 W). I may want to retake in january, but:

1.) I dont know if Texas will ever see my newest scores
2.) Im afraid I cnat really improve. Will ordering the score report help me make that evaluation? It doesnt have the actual questions, so it probably wont.

The SAT is really getting on my nerves, and I want to relax and never take it again, but UTA doesnt mix and match SAT scores, nor do they really look at the writing, so my 1290 is only 60 over their average, and the fact that Im in the 2nd decile of my class puts me outside of that 66% at UT that graduated top 10%. I'm a white male with a good GPA, good essays, and good recs, but no real hooks. I'm trying to break into that 34% that doesnt graduate top 10%. I'm applying to the college of liberal arts, specifically the school of journalism, and I'll be touting my 5 ion the AP Eng lang test and my 800 on the writing section.

Assuming that they will see my jan 28 scores, would it be insane to not try and get a little bit higher on the SAT?
