Hi, I am currently registered to Queensboro community college with a GED. I would like to transfer to Citytech which also accepts GED students. It has a great program for a 2 year Associate degree in Associate degree in Electromechanical Engineering Technology Technology which I can use there to continue on a 4 year Baccalaureate degree in Computer Engineering Technology. I am absolutely in love with this program!

My current issue is that previously I have taken a semester or two of Computer Science, and later changed my major to Business & Accounting. Neither that I had much interest in, or put much effort into. With that said, my GPA is low, below 2.0. I cannot be accept into Citytech under this circumstance as I understand it.

The solution I seem to have available is to re-take my previous courses to bring up my GPA. Perhaps I can bring up my GPA by only re-take courses that can be credited to the Associate degree in Citytech, is this possible, given that Citytech will accept them? Is there any information that can help me? Maybe an easier, faster way? Currently I am forced to take the courses by fall, and then more waiting around till fall 2013 to finally begin working on my associates in Citytech as I will be too late to register any earlier. Advise please!
