<p>I'm an incoming computer engineering freshman and I just got my class recommendations a few days back, I was recommended to take 20B along with CSE 8A and a language (probably spanish) and a music/theatre/art to fulfill the fine arts req.
The main issue I have is that I intended to take 20A instead of B, I have done all the stuff in A but I still it would be safer for me to take A since I took the IBs which have a different syllabus than the APs. Would it be possible for me to choose A instead of B and if so would I still get the GPA for the course????</p>
<p>I was also wondering what you guys might recommend for the music and language classes, anything fun??</p>
<p>If you took MATH 20A it would not count towards your GPA and you won’t receive any credit for it. And if you have done all the stuff in 20A, what’s wrong with taking 20B anyway?</p>
<p>If you like The Beatles, I would definitely recommend taking MUS 15 because the topic for fall quarter is The Beatles. It’s a ridiculously cool and easy class. Right now everything is waitlisted, but with 20 people per section I’m guessing they’ll be opening up spots for freshmen.</p>
