I am currently an applicant for spring 2013 in the AEM major.

I have already submitted all the required materials and they were all received.

I have constantly read that the recommended courses are a huge plus. I have completed all the prerequisites, and I am currently taking an intro bio class for business majors which I guess will equal one bio class at CALS.

My question: I am currently taking 5 classes in the regular 17 week session. Should I sign up to take a physics course? I can still sign up for a later session which means that I can still obtain the normal 3 credits but in a shorter term. Btw this would still be semester hours.

Furthermore, if I were to sign up for this course, it would begin October 22. Therefore it would be to late in the month to receive a midterm grade. Basically would it be beneficial to take the course if the admissions office won't receive a grade? Would it make me look more competitive? Or would they think I'm trying to hard to look good that it won't make a difference?

I know I wrote a lot but if anyone who has been accepted in the past can shed some light in my situation that would be appreciated.
