I kinda tried asking this, but I never really effectively voiced my question and so it never got answered. I am applying for cornell aem next year. Does anyone know how much they care for the "encouraged" courses (but not required) for transfer? I have completed almost every required pre-req (one remaining and will complete it), and will take physics, but have only one semester of bio completed with a lab. The other courses would be pretty difficult to take. Also, I probably will have 58 units don from my community college when I apply, and probably 72 when im done with my last semester. Does having that number of units matter and will it affect me negatively?

i know aem is in cals and cals is very into required courses… so if you did the required ones then your fine… its ok if you didnt do the recommended ones… i got into ilr and i took 1 out of 7 recommended courses… not sure about the credits thing

thanks for your response transfer9858, could you please post your stats?

having more than 60 credits is going to show that you had to take many pr-requisits for say calculus and vert ready enough…or maybe you just took many classes to undermin that one b you got or something…tray taking the least amount of classes but to complete all required and recommended cources…try only 30 credits for each college year
