Aerospace Grad School for me?

Hello,

I am senior in Aerospace Engineering at Purdue with a 3.06 now, and I was wondering if aerospace grad school would be worth the time and effort.

What concerns me is I have one semester to bring my GPA up and submit my GRE scores, and in order to just meet the 3.2 GPA requirement top engineering schools require, I would have to pull A's in all 6 of my classes next semester, which would be very difficult.

I have not done any research or internships, which is frustrating because just recently I raised my GPA above 3.0, and most research and internship opportunities are not available unless your GPA is above 3.0. However, I have taken a class about the design of an orbital service system. I'm also conducting research this semester on a zero-gravity experiment and working with NASA if our proposal is accepted.

I have not been involved in student organizations because of schoolwork, but I am looking into becoming an active member of AIAA and other engineering student councils.

Any help like school suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Top schools doesn’t seem to be feasible, but there are other programs in the top 50 that you can look into. The future of Aerospace Engineering doesn’t seem to be bright. Are you going for PhD or Master?

Sorry, forgot to specify. I’m going for a Master’s.
