<p>so i have a question about affirmative action.
who does affirmative action protect? is it just african- americans and hispanics? or does it also protect ethnic minorities in the u.s.? for example, i know a friend who is albanian-american and a friend who is serbian-american. the two ethnicities make up less than 0.04% of the US population. are they protected?</p>

<p>I am also (half) Serbian and no, affirmative action does nothing to “help” these minorities.</p>
