<p>Eta Beta is a wonderful student residence available that is super close to the UW campus! It's one of the closest residences you can find!</p>

<p>I am a current resident who has to move out for personal reasons, but I endorse this place wholeheartedly. First of all, the location is wonderful. It's one of the closest residences to north campus. Secondly, the house manager, Athena, is absolutely amazing and friendly and available often. Thirdly, the community is also great. There are community events sometimes, and there are almost always people hanging out downstairs. It's the kind of place where you can stay and be quiet in your room or go and hang out with people depending on your personal preference; you are never forced into any social activities. The girls and guys are super nice, though, so if you like being social, you'll definitely find some great friends here.</p>

<p>The rent is $544/month or $1632/quarter for a double. This covers ALL utilities, including heating and wifi. The room comes furnished with a spacious desk, chair and dresser for each resident, as well as a bed and a large closet. There is a community kitchen downstairs in which you will get a locked cabinet to store your food. There is also a community fridge available, or you can bring your own or rent one to have in your room if you desire.</p>

<p>There is NO deposit right now because I have already paid it for this year. If you want to renew for next year, you will have to pay a deposit then. It's $300, and $200 is refundable to you at the end of your stay.</p>

<p>The rent lasts until the end of spring quarter, so you don't need to stay for summer if you don't want to. But if you do want to, summer housing is available too.</p>

<p>The building consists of four floors: a basement, a ground floor, and two residence floors. The basement contains a couple of rooms, plus a really cool entertainment room with a large TV w/cable that is available for resident use. The ground floor contains the lobby, Athena's office, a living room, a library, a dining room, and the kitchen. The second floor is where girls live, and the third floor is where guys live.</p>

<p>There is a fully-stocked community bathroom on each residence floor. There are three shower stalls, one bath tub, six sinks, and four toilet stalls. I've NEVER had to wait for any of these things.</p>

<p>A maid comes in three times a week to clean up community areas including the bathrooms and the first floor. No additional cost to you.</p>

<p>Every school day, there is free breakfast available from 7:30am-9:30am. That's right: FREE breakfast. The breakfast contains an assortment of food including bread, yogurt, cereal, juice, fruit, etc.</p>

<p>Storage space is available for an extra $75/month. Parking is available for $100/month. There is laundry available on every residence floor. $1 to wash and only $0.50 to dry.</p>

<p>Overall this is a WONDERFUL place to live. I have loved my time here and I am sad to have to leave. I am sure that you will love it here too.</p>

<p>The residence is only available for UW students. Females preferred since there is more availability for them right now, but guys can feel free to inquire.</p>

<p>Yeah, that’s the problem: most people have a place to live already. </p>

<p>It really is a great place. I’m only leaving because I’ve been having medical problems since September and I need to find a place where I have my own room because I am disturbing my roommate too much. </p>

<p>What’s the noise level like? I’m currently at Haggett and not liking how loud it is here.</p>

<p>@ Xavi: I looked into it, but the only ad posting I could find cost money. Is there a place to put it for free in the Daily? I also plan on putting fliers around campus tomorrow. </p>

<p>@ kbzu: The noise level is really great inside. There were a couple of girls who were loud, but they were moved to the opposite end of the hall, so it’s not a problem anymore. If you’re a girl, you’ll probably be put in my place, and it’s totally quiet here. My roommate is a nice girl from Thailand who I’m sure you’ll absolutely love. If you’re a guy, you’ll be on a completely different floor. I don’t have personal experience of it, but I haven’t heard anything about guys being loud, so it should be fine.</p>

<p>As for being on Greek Row, it’s actually a lot quieter than I expected. It can be a little loud sometimes when there are large parties, but most of the time it’s quiet. If there are parties, they’re usually on non-school nights or after finals week.</p>

<p>I haven’t lived in Haggett so I can’t compare, but I am the type of person who likes quiet and I have had no problem here. I honestly don’t think it will be a problem.</p>

<p>I’m starting to look for places off campus next year (I’m in McCarty right now), and I have always passed by this place on a way to a friend’s house. I checked out the website and it looks like a really nice and ideal place to live. Does it still feel kind of ‘dormy’ though? I think that’s the only part that slightly concerns me.</p>
