African American/ Black Students at Georgetown

Hey :)

This forum is geared towards black students who currently attend or have visited and committed to Georgetown. I was wondering if you all could comment on the vibe you felt being Georgetown.

Someone said that they felt that they they felt as they were the only black people on the campus when they visited, and that Georgetown didnt seem as diverse. This is only an opinion, I'm looking for other opinions.

They also felt as though the attitude was very pompous, any corrections towards that :)

bump***

A thought: you might be able to get some good insights by reaching out directly to the students currently involved in Hoya Saxa Weekend. They’ve already signed up to dedicate some of their time to assisting prospective students, so I think you’re more likely than not to get some helpful responses. <a href=“2023 Hoya Saxa Weekend Planning Committee | Center for Multicultural Equity and Access | Georgetown University”>http://cmea.georgetown.edu/programs/hoya/committee/</a>
