African American Chance

Do Africans have a better chance to get into college

Nobody can tell you that. We don’t know how many credits/hours you’re taking, how many you’ve taken in the past, or how your school weights classes.

Yes.

Wait, are you talking about African Americans (as in the title) or Africans (as in your post)?

Depends on the college. Schools that practice affirmative actions give African Americans a slight edge, while schools that don’t such as many public universities do not give African Americans an edge.

Why did you completely change your question?? Now my response looks apropos of nothing.

Do Black people? Probably when you factor in affirmative action or similar policies… Do international students who are also Black? I believe it’s harder, especially for those who need a lot of financial aid.

Should these answers reassure you that you’ll definitely get into a college? No; you still have to convince admissions committees that you can handle the rigor of the school and that they’re someone they want in their student body. I don’t really see what benefit knowing this provides as far as how you approach college admissions.

If you mean black people in general, they still have woeful HS grad rates as compared to non-blacks. Thus, their chances, as a whole, are diminished considerably for getting into and then graduating from college . Africans who aren’t US citizens or perm resident status have worse chances due to their international status

Lol sorry bodangles attempted to delete post but that’s not possible. Previous question was: “how much would GPA change?” Btw
