After the deadline?

Ahh. I really want to apply EDII to Macalester.. but I mistook their deadline. Their deadline for EDII is Jan 3... and I don't get back to school until Jan 4... they require a counselor's signature on the ED form. Which I don't have. Which I can't have until Jan 4. I could send it out on Jan 4- fax it, even... but. Yeah. Has anyone been in a similar situation or have any advice as to how to approach this? I don't want to contact the school if anyone knows that my situation is hopeless.

And... since I thought it was a lost cause to apply EDII... I sent in my application Friday RD. But... is there any hope that they will accept the ED form late and disregard the little box that I checked saying that I applied RD?

Again, I will be contacting Macalester based on responses- I just don't want to waste their time if anyone has prior experience. Does anyone have any insight?

get the form signed on January 4, and have your GC contact the school. Then mail your stuff overnight so that they get it on the 5th. It will probably be no biggie.

I don't know about the first part (counselor signature) but I'm in the same boat as you with the sending-application-in-regular-decision (I'm applying hopefully to Swarthmore EDII). I emailed my regional counselor and plan on calling the admissions office tomorrow as well.
