How do you guys deal with this other than caffeine? When I come home I'm too tired to do anything...

nap.

of course, for every hour you nap, you take that away from the amount of hours you sleep that night, so make sure to have someone wake you up after 30 minutes or so.

Oh man, I hella feel you on this. Sometimes, when there's a miracle and no band practice and I get to come home early, I **** away my day by taking a nap because I feel so tired, instead of just finishing my homework early and then enjoying my evening.

Usually, something that helps me are taking showers or listening to some loud music to get you pumped up. You could try napping too, but if you're anything like me, it's not a very good idea because when I'm dead tired and I take a nap, it is physically impossible for me to wake up until at least an hour has passed (srsly, I set two alarm clocks AND told both my sister and my mother to to wake me up in 30 minutes.... I ended up sleeping through both and waking up two hours later).

Yep, the trick is to take a power-nap. That's between 15-30 minutes, refreshes your mind.

Going overboard, as people as said, makes you feel more tired. So just try and keep it short

god i nap so much. naps are awesome.

I never nap. I usually wake up with a headache if I nap.

Yea, I usually end up more tired than before when I nap. (Probably because I fall asleep for two hours).

Oh well, I usually pick up my stride in the evening, it's just that these few weeks I've been handling a heavy courseload and rushing to finish my intel ISEF project which I've procrastinated on so every hour is crucial.

i don't eat lunch at school and i eat when i get home instead. that seems to help me. if i have some extra time, i watch maybe an hour or so of TV, and then by 4 or 5 i feel awake again. then i do my homework.

On days when I don't have track (in between seasons), I come home and can't do ANYTHING. Track lets me release my stress and gives me a little mental break between school and homework.

So, maybe find an after school activity that will give you that break?
