Agora updated

The link is true. My D didn't have it and was waitlisted. 34 ACT 3.87 UW GPA and a published scientific abstract. I'm speechless. Congrats to all who got in.

I have it too! I'm freaking out about it because my mail usually comes later than everyone else's, and I know a girl who got in today so I have to wait until tomorrow! AHH agony

Wow, this is really surprising. D was waitlisted EA with 33/3.85UW, at the time we were surprised quite a bit that she did not make it. However, after getting deferred she never showed additional interest in BC besides sending in her midyear grades. Her ECs, while having a significant community serivce component, were not that impressive. She never had the ResLife link, but her Agora just got updated and she can pay the $500 deposit, which I am assuming means she got in. The admissions process IS quite crazy, don't know if it is any crazier this year than past years.

ww007 - I hear you. While I am happy for everyone who was accepted, I must admit I am somewhat surprised that my S (2280 SAT, 3.7 uw, all honors/many APs, NMF, many good ECs, yada yada yada) was not even waitlisted, but rejected from Carroll. His heart was not really into going to BC - he only applied because I talked him into it - but I doubt they could glean that from his common app.
P.S. he didn't have the link either, so I really think it does tell the story - no link, no acceptance.

Believe the admissions office - they have nothing to do with the links, as the tech people in charge of agora update them at their own speed. There lots of people who don't have the links and who get it, it just depends on where your name falls on the list the tech people get.

The admissions office knows about the links, they hear about it every year, and there's nothing they can do to change them because they can't tell tech services when to do their jobs.

Don't worry if your agora info didn't change yet. I just got my package this afternoon (around 2) and my links haven't been updated. (:

I'm ny, btw.

^ Same here. My link just changed, but it hadn't changed as of earlier this afternoon and I just received my acceptance packet in the mail. I never had the Res Life link either.

so no one has been rejected and has had the links?

^bump adrim's question

i had the links and i got in

so people that just founf out today through the mail, just got their agora links updated ,, meaning that those people who have not yet heard through the mail and have the links are accepted,,,, idk i just want my acceptance/or rejection!!

also i have the links to pay the housing and was wondering, people who already have their decisions (Waitlisted, accepted, denied),, do u guys have the financial aid award notification link??????

so yes, mine was updated and I DID get in WOOHOOO

I had the links, and I was accepted today via email :)

i got the links and was accepted yesterday...

nathanmakan
you got in via email???
did everyone else receive an e-mail?

ok when do the links change

and is it the "financial aid award notification" tab or something else

there are different sets of links. the only thing anyone seems to have right now is fin. aid award notification...and it seems to be there for some people regardless of whether or not they applied for aid. i think the res. life, housing, enrollment, etc. will come after letters are released, but it seems a lot of people had those links change last year before the letters came

Does anyone have the Financial Aid Award Notification link right now though? Except for the last two posts, these are all from 27th-28th of March last year...

Somebody wanted to make a point about last year and bumped this old thread up. But, yes, some people do have the new finaid notification link this year (see other thread about agora); and it seems reasonable to suppose that means they're in. For those without it: hope BC just hasn't gotten to it yet.

i don't think i'll have anything on mine for a while. My noncustodial' been in the hospital for almost 3 months now, soo I'm gonna have to wait for her w-2 and tax return :(

even though I probably got rejected..
