So my interviewer called me in the morning before I was even awake and she really quickly said that she wanted to schedule an interview for Duke. I was completely out of it and all I took in was "interview" and associated with "interview-- i have one of those tomorrow" and so that's what I said. I told her that I already had one scheduled for tomorrow, and she became superconfused and was all "Err for Duke?" And that's when it hit me - my interview tomorrow is for Cornell! I hurriedly apologized and told her I was thinking about another school, and I couldn't tell if she was mildly annoyed or amused. When we were scheduling, she said "Mondays and Tuesdays are good for me...but I obviously know what you're doing tomorrow." I screamed out on the inside. Arghh

Haha, my Dartmouth interviewer called me, but I did not answer. I called back, not knowing who it was, and said, “Hello, um, I got a call from this number, and, um, don’t really know who it was.” The lady asked my name and introduced herself. I wish I could have been just A BIT more articulate. :P

It’s not a big deal. Inteviewers are used to nervous students and their families blurting out all sorts of odd things when interviewers call to schedule interviews. A couple of times nervous parents/students managed to accidentally hang up on me.

thanks for the reassurance haha. It was just quite the opposite of the put-together first impression I wanted to make. Hopefully the interview itself will involve less bumbling on my part

strike # 2- I emailed her with the title “Ms.” She’s a doctor. Damnnnnit.

fan of dean - there was a specific deadline for submission for duke in order to get interviews back in november.

I just got mine! I was so nervous that I forgot to ask him for his phone number! Thank god for caller ID! :p

I was caught kinda off-guard as well… Yikes!
