Ah! Mid Year Report

My senior grades are a below average for me. They are as follows: A Orchestra, A APGOV, B- APLIT, A- APCALC, B+ APECON, A AP Physics, A- APGERMAN.

Will these grades hurt me? A B+ is the lowest I have ever gotten before this. My unweighted GPA for this semester will be around 3.6, which is lower than I have ever gotten. However, my weighted GPA will be the highest it has ever been at 4.5.

Maybe. Maybe not. Definitely. Definitely not. Yes. No. Okay. Sure. Ta-ta.

I hope you find this helpful!

Are you saying it is not possilbe to really say how an ad officer is going to react?

No, it is possible. It just depends how often you got B+s before this and the overall trends evident in your schedule.

For example, if you get a B+ every semester, this report won’t look too odd at all. If you have only had one B+ (and it was freshman year), they may think you have slacked off a bit this time around. If these classes are significantly harder than anything else you have taken, it may be looked at favorably, even - like you were trying to challenge yourself.

Overall, there are lots of variables that go into decisions. While it is possible to glean a small understanding of what goes through an admissions officer’s mind, the knowledge is limited.

Ok, for real, I hope I was helpful this time around!

“Are you saying it is not possilbe to really say how an ad officer is going to react?”

How would that be possible?
