SO haha i'm in high school and i've started looking into possible careers and the entire business realm interests me, but i'm really confused about it.

obviously, i know that there are differences between the topics, but i don't understand the specific differences or which i would like to do.

i'm looking for a career
-where i can interact with people
-where i can earn a 6-figure salary and start with a decent salary (50-60k)
-with stability
-with good job opportunities throughout the next 10-20 years

can anybody please help point me in a direction where i can find a job with such requirements? or if you have any suggestions that are totally out of the blue that you think would be a good fit, please tell me!

thanks so much!

Focus on one step at a time. Get to college first, worry about the rest later.

It’s fine if you want to get into business. Use college to determine what you like and don’t like.

This is an impossible question without more info. If you’re going to Wharton, a $60k starting marketing job is realistic. If you’re going to an average business program, it’s not. Then it will depend on where you want to live. 6 figures in advertising is typical in NYC, but not in Portland. And of course how good you are is everything.

Let’s say I do a double major with psychology and business- would that increase my opportunities for getting a job? what could i add to the mix to make myself stand out?

i understand that i have time to figure this out after college but i want to attend a college that is a top school in the subject(s) that i choose…so it’s really important for me to figure this out.

go to usnews specialty business rankings for undergraduates and then go to the marketing deparment website for each school on the list for more information.
