I'm not religious at all, but I have some religious [Christian] activities on my app lol

lol omz do ur parents even kno u aren't religious?

Yeah I'm an atheist and they know.
haha why? does it matter if they know or not...?

did they freak out?

and say that ur gonna go to hell or something??? if they were firm believers, they would try to save u

haha um no.
They're not that religious themselves.
In fact, I used to be more religious than them.

lol If I ever saw anyone try to "save" someone, I'd laugh =)

"I was careful not to get too involved in religion when I was writing about my Mission Trip. But I doubt they would penalize you just based on religious affliation. I'd say a large portion of all applicants is religious to some extent."

Uhh.. I most definitely said something along the lines of "With God, anything is possible." Cliche, sure, but it worked... I hope :)

i wouldn't worry about the interview too much. the woman told me it was more of an opportunity for me to ask her about her princeton experience. she said whatever she said was very minor in the whole process.

(: anyyways, I had my interview yesterday and it was AWESOME.
Last minute interview, 1:1 interview, and had to drive all the way up to LA (took two and half hrs!) but yeah, it was all worth it!!

I am just sad that Pt does not place as much significance on interview as Harvard does.

i dont get it. i thought the deadline for P'ton's alumni interview reports were due DEC.3. also, i keep hearing that the decisions are FINALIZED today(dec.7).

so how is it possible that ur interview was just yesterday?

I've heard that the last thing adcoms look at on your application is the interview because it holds so little weight. After all, the main purpose for the interview is to inform the applicant about the college, not to evaluate the applicant. I bet that they've already decided on all of our applications and so the interviews held after December 3rd-ish are a mere formality. I doubt they'll have any impact whatsoever on admissions decisions.

zzibuya, just out of curiosity what was your interviewers name? was it bruce ramer??

ok in this book i am reading about college admissions, it says that an amazing interview can really help you, whereas a terrible one can even block ur chances of admission.

acceptance, deferral, waitlist, rejection. it says it can move ppl 1 step either way. but almost never 2 steps

but ya, id bet its just to keep the alums happy

nooo i hope it moves me one step from deferral to acceptance!! cause my interview WAS awesome!
