Hello everyone-
I'm a pretty solid Berkeley admit, except for one problem- I don't take tests well. I just got my SAT II back, and I got a 710 Bio, 670 Literature. Does this spell trouble for admissions? How does this stack up?
I'm having a heart attack here, HELP!
Thanks

If you're as "solid" as you say, then SAT scores should not make that big of a difference. Some people just aren't test takers but they make it up in other ways. So as long as you are able to show that, it's fine. Anyways, those scores are not too bad.

This was me a couple of years ago. I had ****ty (meaning not 750+) SAT2 scores with one being above 750 and the other 680. However, I had a good SAT (meaning above the Berkeley average), near-perfect grades, and strong ECs. SAT2's are only a small part of your application; shine in the other parts to convince admissions that you deserve to get in.

my two best SAT II scores were under 700. one was 680 and the other 660 I believe. my SAT I was not that superb either...test scores aren't everything.

i had the worst sat's in the the world....i never made it over a 700 on any subject
still got in...SAT's arent everything
work on ur essay and if u have volunteer activity and extra activities.

Grades are weighted quite a bit more heavily than test scores these days. Grades and rigor of courseload.

Your SAT II scores are fine as long as the rest of your application looks good.

Bessie is right. Are you instate, aye aye? My best SAT 2 scores were 720 on US History and 640 on Math 2. However, the rest of my app helped up my application, also.
