What are my chances at... (Safety, reach, etc.)

Rice, Amherst, UVA, Princeton, Brown, UNC Chapel Hill, and Stanford?

Again, CCers are the BEST! =)

I think you sound incredible, and most of those schools seem relatively likely. Stanford and Princeton are so random, and being Asian will not help AT ALL at Stanford, but I'm sure you'll get into quite a few of the schools you listed!

You have a pretty good chance at UNC, but you just have to keep the fact that being OOS is going to hurt you in perspective. Otherwise, you have as good a chance as anybody else.

Good job! You should be in everywhere.

This is not a "hook" - 1st generation to go to college in the states - if your parents obtained any sort of college degree outside the United States.

Yeah, if you put down High School for both of your parents just because they didn't go to college in the US, then you're not being completely honest...

Although you seem to have a nice list of EC's, they're mostly just clubs. I don't think you did any EC's that will make a college admissions officer think "we should have this person at our school".

You also didn't post SAT 2 scores, which I believe is more important than SAT 1 scores.

Rice - Match
Amherst - Reach
UVA - Match
Princeton - Big Reach
Brown - Reach
UNC Chapel Hill - Safe match
Stanford - Big Reach

a 35 on the act as a sophomore? whoa
you should leave out the who's who and nylc stuff
they'll just take up space, and because your ec list is mostly filler stuff to begin with, itll just look like your trying to pad even more
