Very frustrating...I don't want to take another damn test in the fall unless I really have to. I'm applying to UCs and they don't accept combinations of best scores from each area...what should I do??

you do what we all do, go to CC :), it's like living in the dark side, but in a sense, it is pretty "wild" -_-
don't worry, if you are instate, you are fine!

your combined score is actually a 1930, as most schools will take the best from each section that you have scored - which is a great score! don't beat yourself up!

In all honesty though Berkley is such a hard school, my cousin goes there. If you're from out of state, you have to be in the top 3% of your class and they apparently say that you need over a 2200 to even be looked at (according to my cousin, Ian.. who graduated #2 in his class and major is in Biology and did this whole presentation where I couldn't understand a word but all the teachers raved and applauded lolol so I know he is VERY intelligent.).. but who knows, there is one word in the English vocabulary that can help your odds: Hope.

Yeah man its really not a diss... very very few people from around the nation can get into UC-berkeley out of state. Im just saying that it isnt reasonable to think about it unless you are seriously close to perfect. I think with an 1820 you can still get into many UC's depending on your GPA and other stats. Do some vocab touch up and lots of math practice, retake, and you should be fine.

I have no idea why the idea of Berkeley popped up...I'm not even going to bother applying there. O_O

I'll be applying to Davis, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, and Irvine. I simply posted out of frustration that my score remained the same no matter what, you Stanford/Harvard/Yale bound "2390 omg TEH reTAKE11" guys can post what you want.

That chart is not valid. There are no valid comparisons for the new SAT, in fact, the numbers have no meaning until the data on the new SAT is collected, analyzed, and released in October.
