Aid adjustment

hey guys, sorry for asking so many dumb questions, bit I've got one more (for now). How do we go about getting an adjustment in financial aid? Will there be someone who can talk to us about it during orientation week? I have a few questions, and was hoping to get an adjustment for the SHIP. Does anyone have any experience getting their package changed for this reason?

I'm trying to do the same for SHIP. I don't know what we do.

I got this response from a representative at the financial aid office:

"Once you are charged for the health insurance, you would need to stop into our office and complete/submit a Budget Increase Request form for the charged amount. A financial aid counselor will then review your request and financial aid file, and determine what type of aid you may be eligible to receive to help cover the additional expense."

Hope that helps!

^^That's exactly what you do

to afchang: i'm guessing you sent an e-mail to the fin aid office and that's their response? just curious... how long did it take for them to respond? b/c i sent them an e-mail recently and am still waiting for them to get back to me...

tmk39 - yeah i sent them an email and they responded 3 days later.

i wonder how much the financial aid counselors make?

luckily i was able to talk to an associate director when i phoned in although my situation involved outstanding debt...

i still need to get that resolved before i can see fall financial aid LOL!!!

i'm set to arrive in ithaca on august 15th...i'll be living there, let's just hope my tuition gets taken care of!!! ;o

Yeah, the FAO is so slow. I called them last week because I was still waiting to receive info fom them about an additional loan I applied for, they still haven't gotten to processing loans. So now I'm late on my bursar, but they assured me that if I was late bc of them, they will take care of any fees. Pssh. So slow. I still had to wait like 10 minutes to speak with someone, and I'm sure they still aren't done with loan processing.

^^^^ that's EXACTLY the same with me right now!
