<p>I’m from New York. Didn’t think I would win coming from such a large state! I spent a lot of time on the application. Nice it paid off!! I got notified by e-mail yesterday. So excited!! Good luck to everyone!!</p>
<p>Man, there goes any chance for me. Since they sent out emails for NY, then they probably already did it for Connecticut. That hurts.</p>

<p>its the 22nd and i havent got anything… does that mean i didnt win the scholarship? i’m from california so i havent gotten too excited because i know i have the biggest competition, but has everyone from all the states already heard?

<p>Though it’s hard for me to accept (lol), yes, that probably means we’re not chosen. Only winners are notified. Those who did not receive anything are notified in early February, according to the website.</p>
<p>By now, I guess NH has been chosen already, too… oh well.</p>

<p>Editor-in-Cheif of my school’s news-magazine, write for the teen section of my local paper and academics editor of the yearbook. Journalism rocks. haha. I’m way more Laurie Halse Anderson than Harry Potter, but I appreciate y’all (my best friend is big on Harry Potter, lol) and I’m pretty much into writing (period…) And my God (I’m a Christian girl ) and traveling. Yeah.</p>

I realize those who didn’t win may not even be reading this anymore, but according to the list of 2010 winners emailed to me today by the Freedom Forum, only one person was selected from each state this year. I’m not sure if that makes anyone feel better, just thought I should let you guys know.</p>
