Albert? What gives?

I'm sort of confused by how Albert registration works. For example, here is how one course is listed: http://i802.photobucket.com/albums/yy308/zachblaesi/***.png

Why is there more than one schedule? If the class meets more than one day a week, wouldn't it just list the days? And why is the professor only listed once? Does this mean I'm attending the class for each individual schedule listed under the section? Some courses even list the same class occurring twice on the same day.

Are you a first-year too? You should probably wait til orientation to do any Albert class registrations– in my orientation we’re supposed to have an entire lecture on how to use it, then an advising period where advisors are supposed to evaluate our class selections.

I’m a Tisch student, so I don’t actually have an orientation (I think), and class registration starts tomorrow so I want to register asap in case stuff fills up.

Apparently the “***” in my image above got edited out by college confidential and the link won’t work.

Here is a copy-paste of what I mean:

FMTV-UT 33 | 4 units | Class#: 12790 | Session: 09/06/2011 - 12/16/2011 | Section: 010
Class Status: Open | Grading: Ugrd Tisch Graded
Course Location Code: WS | Component: Studio
09/06/2011 - 12/16/2011 Tue 3.30 PM - 5.20 PM with Gilford, Joseph
09/06/2011 - 12/16/2011 Tue 9.30 AM - 10.45 AM
Notes: SAAME AS H99.0033 OPEN TO FILM MAJORS ONLY.

See how there are two schedules listed for the same day?

I think that’s the actual schedule for that one class. In community college classes, at least, the number of units is based on the amount of instructional hours a week, as well as the type of class. If you add up the hours it comes close to 3 and the fact that it’s studio class rather than just a lecture should make up for the last unit.
