Hey everybody! I am going to be attending Penn State and majoring in kinesiology. At Penn state we’re required to take the aleks test. I got a 94 on the placement test which puts me in calculus, but for my major its required that I take trigonometry. Would I have to take calculus or can I just take trigonometry? I really don’t want to take calculus if I do not have to.
You only have to take what’s intended for your major. If you tested higher than the math you need, that’s not a problem. The problem is if you tested lower. The ALEKS test is to make sure that you are ready for whatever math you need and don’t need to take lower math classes first.
okay thank you!!
