just wondering

That was truly embarrassing. It is painfully obvious that Brady Hoke is not the answer to turning the Michigan football program around.

I’m so disappointed. I despise ND. Now I get to listen to my MIL for the next forever gloat about how “God’s Team” won.

They should have fired him last year.

If there is another game like that, I would be surprised if he lasts the season.

I won’t be surprised if he lasts the season even with another blow out. I hope he doesn’t, don’t get me wrong, but Michigan doesn’t like to seem to cut their losses for some reason.

I always said he needed 4-5 seasons to turn the program around. This is his 4th season. If this season is acceptable, (9+ wins with at least one win at MSU or OSU), then I think he should be given an extra year to prove himself.

If we win fewer than 9 games this season, I think he should be fired.

That was my original position on this matter and I stand by it.

I don’t think you guys can win when you have a defensive lineman as your QB. :)

I just hope that if and when they fire him they do so with a good replacement in mind (even though they may not be able to contact that person). You have to give each new coach 3 to 4 years and we cannot just go through “try outs” forever. OSU was without a coach and got Urban Meyer. That is what is needed. You have to have one or more possibilities in mind.

Oh, they’ll contact the person. The replacement will have to be lined up to avoid “candidates” using the opening to merelyr as a means to improve their contract at their current school.

They don’t officially contact but hopefully they have some idea. Brady Hoke was not their first choice.

Ahem…bearcats, I am ready to get on the bandwagon! I still think he should coach out the rest of the year as there would be nothing positive from firing him now, but unless some miracle happens and Michigan wins the next 7 games, I believe that Hoke should be fired at the end of the season.

I take that back. I think we should fire Hoke now and name one of the two coordinators as the interim HC until we can get our permanent coach announced later in the fall effective the 2015 season. The reason for this is simple; several of our top recruits are verbally criticizing Hoke saying that their commitment is to Michigan, but that they are not overly fond of Hoke. In other words, we will lose our recruits if Hoke stays. It is time for Hoke to go…and I mean ASAP.

^^^Totally agree with Alexandre…and bearcats.

It appears likely that Dave Brandon’s days at Michigan are coming to an end. With a new AD, a new football coach will follow.

is Bearcats on the fire Dave Brandon bandwagon yet?

i think I recall him being positive about general admission.

But there’s no longer general admission…and the rumor Michigan has begun hunting for a new AD has already turned out to be false. We’re doomed.

I really cannot believe he still has a job after this weekend.

Again, I don’t even care about the record (I mean, it’s sad, but I wasn’t expecting much). It’s the total disregard for safety. At least before you could say he cared. He clearly isn’t even paying attention.

It doesn’t matter if you replace Hoke right now. What they need are better players. Morris is horrible - who is left to takeover?? Plus, you still need an offensive line that can give the guy a chance to make a play. UM football will be hard to watch for the next 2-3 years, until they flush out the current ‘talent’. The bright side is that tickets will be cheap and traffic jams on game day will be minimal!!

UMDAD, I think the talent is there. Between Morris and Speight, we will have a solid QB next year. We have talent returning at every position…perhaps not to contend for a NC, but certainly to remain in every game we play in and to win 9+ games in a season. If the right head coach is hired, we should be good.

How can you not be on the fire Brady Hoke bandwagon?

He left Morris in the game when he was clearly injured. Morris was carted off the field after the game!

@Alexandre

I don’t know what team you are watching, but this team is bad.
