I was wondering if it's even possible to take Algebra 2 online over the summer and fully grasp the concepts? I can always get help from my mom and friends, but would it be impossible without a teacher? I don't want to waste my parents money by failing it or barely passing then struggling in PreCalc. I am good at Algebra for the most part and really do like math. I've also had teachers who actually don't teach for the last two years so I'm fairly use to explaining concepts to myself.

It’s possible as long as you have discipline. The concepts aren’t hard to understand at all unless you are bad at math, but you already stated you are good at math therefore you should have no problem.

I took it last year and found it really easy and my teacher wasn’t that good, so I had to self teach a lot of it. I think it would help if you got a tutor, but I think you’d be fine self studying.

Thank you! I plan on probably getting a tutor for precalc anyways haha

Bump~
Does anyone have any opinions on taking it through BYU’s program?

Honestly I would take Algebra 2 at school because you learn a LOT of new concepts. Then, take pre-calc online. I’m doing pre-calc with BYU and it’s basically independent study… like reading the book… and then taking a test. So reaching yourself Algebra 2 would be pretty bad… pre-calc on the other hand is literally a review of Algebra 2 with a little trig, so make sure you learn the Algebra 2 concepts well and you’ll pass pre-calc online with BYU with flying colors!!
