Algebra 2 @ prep school

It's "bs" because you don't understand.
Well, then take a class on writing or two; I can write total gibberish here and you won't understand it either. Smart people can explain anything to six-years old child and you can't explain something to someone who's smarter and older then you. It means that you suck at writing.

You can't mess up in a class either.
Oh really? I always knew that there is no people existing who get below A's.
You seriously need to go somewhere and get a life, you're pathetic.

umm you CAN bomb the SAT. You can do bad (even worse) on the next try. And I didn't say bomb an assignment. I said bomb a class. As in--you do bad in general in the class....you're just not good at. Um it's bs because no one cares(ask ANYONE here) and it's hardly relevant. You're just trying to sound smart. Unfortunately for you, you use big words but you use them incorrectly in context.
Arogance is a perception. Everything is practically your own perception. Ever heard of Wave mechanics? They theorize that everything is a wave that is perceived by your brain. In a simple way of explaining it.
Yes, arrogance (notice the spelling;)) is a qualitative characteristic and therefore dependent on qualitative opinions and observations, but you're making it easy for us to notice your arrogance without even measuring it quantitatively.

And why the hell did you bring in wave mechanics? Its obvious you have no idea what you're talking about. Just for your information, the whole principle behind wave mechanics is particle/wave duality among all matter. I've never heard of it being used as an example of perception.

You can't bomb the SATs... You can take it more than once.
The fact that you can take the SAT's more than once is independent of the fact that you can bomb them. Being able to take them again has no effect on how well you will do the first time. Additionally if you do end up doing bad and need to take them over, your old score will still be listed on the score report.

Or get an F on the final... That could do some damage.

I've never got a B, I don't think i'll magically start getting F's. Yeah, you're starting to sound not so bright greenday. How can you use Wave mechanics incorrectly? It has to do with perception. Now, who's acting that they're better than me? You are. If you can't understand the simplicity of Wave mechanics, I can't wait to see you at Molecular Physics.

zpm, you would know about failing wouldn't you? You did bad in school this year.

Hehe, you didn't do anything at her level this year at all :P

Hehe, explain breadmaking to breadmaker. Your pseudoscientific malarky about waves is so pathetically wrong that your presence in scientific community would cause too much damage to science, kid. Or go and bring some arguments to make your 'speech' start having some sort of sense.
Thanks.

First Grade;1+1=2 WOW I completed in 3 seconds. I beat you by a year!
2nd Grade; 2x3=6 I beat you by another year!
3rd Grade; 100/1000 =1/10 I BEAT YOU AGAIN!!!
4th grade; -9+2+6x10=53 i beat you again!
5th grade; 9xx9x=81 x=1 I BEAT YOU AGAIN!
6th grade; ax^2+bx+c = 0 I BEAT YOU AGAIN!
7th grade; To Prove: m
Consider the triangles ACD and BCD
We will prove that these 2 are congruent.
AC = BC (Given)
m an isosceles triangle)
m
So by Side - Angle - Angle property the two
triangles must be congruent.

So the corresponding angles must be equal.
So mi.e. CD bisects angle ACB.
8th Grade; Ax2 + Bxy + Cy2 + Dx + Ey + F = 0

5th grade; 9x+9x=81 x=1 I BEAT YOU AGAIN!
I love this.

9x+9x, if x=1 would equal 18... right?

Probably, but Masterus is better then us at math.

Look at the post I wote the equation wrong because the double x's were comnfusing

mr chipset what math are you in, this coming school year?

Officially pre-calculus.

Cool, I don't like the Trig part of it though.

Lindsey, what town do you live in?

"I have pride. I'm proud that not everyone thinks of me as a part of the human anus... unlike you...

Why don't you just give up in your attempt to make everyone think your "smart"? No one here believes you... (nor do they think your smart)."

haha, I agree.

have u guys noticed that whenever masterus is wrong about something he completely ignores it and moves on to another subject.

and he may be good at math(though i doubt it) but his English is awful. He is using everything in the wrong context of course he probably is going to say that the context he is using them in is correct in proper English but not American-English because they are slightly different.

Give me a break its like he's trying to sound so smart but he just sounds extremely dumb. Masterus you should really read some of ur post because they make you sound like an idiot.

Wrong again, Mr. Masterus. I actually earned a 99.7% in College Calculus, which I am quite proud of. In most schools that is far from failing, but I guess you must have higher standards  I also was pulled aside by the professor to talk about advancement, but maybe he was just worried about my "failing" grades;) I've also self-studied multivariable calculus, linear algebra, and thermodynamics.

Also, this year was actually my best year academically. I overloaded on credits each quarter and earned ~3.86 gpa in tough engineering classes, despite having numerous extracurricular commitments and friends to chill with. What was your GPA again, Masterus? Oh, I forgot... you're not even in high school yet. Come talk to me again after you finish multivariable calculus and thermodynamics. You also might find it helpful to read up on the actual theories of quantum mechanics and wave functions, instead of just spouting off the latest "popular science" myths. Odyssey magazine (<a href="http://www.odysseymagazine.com/%5B/url%5D">http://www.odysseymagazine.com/</a>) looks to be a little above your science level, but don't worry. If the big words confuse you, just ask your mommy ;) A larger vocabulary would be good for you anyway.

To all of the other, non-arrogant people on this thread, I apologize if it seems like I'm boasting. Normally, I'm pretty humble, but people like Masterus need to be put into their place sometimes ;)

Well done, zpmqxonw.
"What was your GPA again, Masterus? Oh, I forgot... you're not even in high school yet. Come talk to me again after you finish multivariable calculus and thermodynamics."
Masterus and most of the posters on here aren't even in high school. That's disgusting. To all you 13 year olds: get a life. Maybe one that involves more than the CC forums and freaking out about college. Sorry to be so harsh, but plenty of people have been accepted into top/Ivy league schools without going to a prep school first. They're NATURALLY WELL-ROUNDED and INTELLIGENT.

On a separate note, it's not really a good idea to have your heart set on a college when you aren't even in high school yet. Have you visited that college, talked with students there, looked at course offerings, researched other schools that you might end up liking more, picked out safety schools?

Probably not. I hope not atleast-it's too early. Sure, you can be focused on academics and be thinking about college, but there's such a thing as going a little overboard, and I've certainly seen some examples of it on this thread.

One last thing, to the majority of you: Please focus a little more on your grammer/usage/punctuation/typos. It's actually funny reading your posts that brag about being smart and going to college, and then coming across errors such as "who's acting that they're better than me," "I wote the equation wrong because the double x's were comnfusing," "If I won't get to Harvard, then, well, I didn't really wanted to go there first time" I could easily go on but I'd run the risk of gaging while reading some of these posts.

Masterus- I hope high school gives you a bit of a reality check.

I'm not going to Harvard like Masterus so I'm allowed to be a moron, no problem :D
