Algebra II/Trig Self-Study Resources

I'm attempting to qualify to skip Alg2/trig, and I'm currently trying to complete the entire Khan Academy program for them both (and then start the KA precalc and stats courses this summer). Of course, I know that Khan Academy probably isn't sufficient, maybe enough to pass the exam but probably not enough to lay the foundation for precalc. I'm considering buying a used textbook and I've found a few practice exams from random schools I can use as a guide, but after the first time those will start to become memorization rather than conceptual assistance, so they aren't much help. Right now I'm set to finish the AlgII course in a couple weeks and the Trig course is relatively short, which means I'll need to keep myself from forgetting anything.

I really need a way to keep practicing, I'm hoping to take the exam at the end of this year but I might have to take it a few weeks before school starts next year. Free would be ideal but I could spend some money on this, if it's really worth it.

So, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

bump

I took Algebra II/Trig last year for the entire year and then took a regent (which is like a final exam here in my state) on it. I’m gonna list below some of the extra resources I used to study and clarify things when I needed help. They are very informative and free. :)

JMAP: <a href=“JMAP BY TOPIC”>JMAP BY TOPIC;
This basically has all the topics listed and when you click on whichever one you want, you get practice worksheets. You could use this probably after you learned a topic and want some practice problems.

http://www.regentsprep.org/Regents/math/algtrig/math-algtrig.htm</a>
This website is great because it not only gives you information and formulas you need to know for each topic but it also has some practice problems and other resources you could use for practice.

Hope this helps!

Those are the kind of resources I was looking for, thank you so much!

I would get a textbook that has plenty of practice problems in it. If you need any particular information, you can use Khan Academy and the rest of the internet.

Yeah, I’m thinking about getting a used textbook

Check your library :slight_smile: Mine has a few old textbooks that you can bring home! They also might have review books which would still help. Good luck!

Thanks you!
