Do colleges look for algebra in high school?
I took algebra II in 8th grade and will do geometry in 9th, precalc in 10th. Since algebra II was in 8th grade, it wont show up in my high school transcript.
Will not having algebra II in high school affect college admissions?

No. Most post I know take Algebra in middle school, anyways

Don’t worry, colleges will probably assume that you took it in middle school because you went on to Precalculus in 10th grade (which means you’re on an accelerated math track, which is even better).
Are you sure that you don’t get a high school credit for taking Algebra 2 in middle school, though? If your school does that, then it will show up on your high school transcript. Ask your counselor if it does.

I think it’s more impressive that you didn’t have to take Algebra in high school. That shows you’re on a more accelerated math track and if you complete Algebra 2 in Middle school, you can take AP Calculus in the 11th grade.

Nope.

If you came into Freshmen year taking DiffEQs, you would just be that much more impressive.

It will probably be on your high school transcript anyway, much to your GPA’s chagrin.

I can choose to put it on my transcript or not, but like you said, putting it will affect my GPA and transcript.

If you can choose to not have it there, I don’t see any pressing reason to add it. You can point out that you took the class in the additional comments section of any application.
