I got into all of my schools, but NYU and USC threw me curve balls:

If you got into GW and Barnard you clearly have smarts, and the NYU General Studies Program (I am assuming that is what GSP stands for)may not be equal to your potential.

I kind of hate the fact that Barnard is all girls. I know Columbia is there, but still... (don't ask me why i applied)

I'm suprised no one has said Wisconsin, it's one of the more higher ranking schools on my list (by USNWR standards).

What I want for in a college has changed since I applied. Now I'm kind of looking for the "total college package" with sports/parties/great academics all combined. USC was my 1st choice, but I don't know if I want to wait until spring. UW-Madison is looking good, but parents are pushing Barnard. I visited NYU a week ago and felt like it was too independent for me.

Wisconsin has the best anthro department of any of these schools and a pretty good undergrad business school. I'd say out of all those schools, a large top rated public school is more what you are looking for. Wisconsin offers THREE nationally ranked sports (football, basketball, hockey), the parties are an obvious, and even if you were admitted to USC out right I'd still contend for many fields the education at Wisconsin is superior. 4.2 US News assesment score is higher than NYU or USC.

I know you said money isn't an issue, but it can't hurt that you'd spend about... 50% of the amount at Wisconsin than at NYU, USC, or fake-Columb-I mean Barnard. Remind the parents 20K *4= 80K... hey, that's a good deal.

If you don't want a women's school and do want the total college experience, then Wisconsin is sounding like a good choice to me. Plus, as someone just mentioned, you will save money.

What an insulting and completely untrue assessment of Barnard.

Oh cmon it's a joke. I take it back if I really offended anyone. There are many smart students who go there and it is an excellent school located in a really unique location.

Not that it really matters, but I just realized I got a Presidential Scholarship- tuition 1/2 free at George Washington.

It's between Barnard, USC, and UW-Madison. I'm visiting UW this weekend (begged parents and they agreed, thank god), and then Barnard in two weeks. Thank for everyone's comments.
