hmm... I know female CS majors... they're pretty easy to spot -- they're the ones holding the gas masks and rubber gloves between classes so they can breathe during class around their classmates who have yet to learn about personal hygiene! ;-)

Or, since that everyone around you is doing the same, you go from wearing sweaters and skirts everyday to wearing sweatpants and t-shirts for the 4th day in a row, not bothering to shower, brush your tooth, put on make-up...just rolling out of bed and then going to class...

I promised I wouldn't allow myself to sink to this level, but it inevitably happened. I did, however, actually take care of hygiene at around 5 pm every day, after math stuff was over and I was ready to go to political science meetings.

"Tetrahedr0n, the boy I have a vague relationship with is well-endowed. And yes, I've seen his endowment, even though we're not officially dating. However, he's not just in for the sex. And I'm just posting this because he said if I didn't defend his endowment, he would go score some...females... And he also wants an official track record for future...females...to be publicly known.

But beyond the physicality and threats of a wandering eye, I really do love him. So I'm not a hypocrite."

Oh, and this is the kind of boy you end up with.

Hehe...actually, my transition into male-majority academics and politics in college wasn't that extreme, as most of my friends were already male and I grew up in an all-male household. However, I will say, that my entire main group of friends are male, from math, and I only have a couple female friends, who are from my dorm. That was largely my choice and I don't believe it's right to discriminate who you're friends with based on gender...your friends are who you're friends with.

Oh, and I bake cookies in the math lounge.

I'm not hideous, if that's what everyone's thinking right now, lol.

Ugh, Deluxe, do not even talk to me. You make me so mad all the time.

First of all, there are nasty boys... nasty people in all majors. It doesn't matter. If there are more in Computer Science, so what? I'm not going to NOT study CS just because there are nasty people in there. It's not like I won't find people I like.

Second of all, I do not WANT to major in Biology. There's no way I'm majoring in Biology. I'll take the class so I can pass the MCAT or whatever test when the time comes. Just because you think computer science is boring doesn't mean I do. I happen to get some joy out of creating a programs that work.

Third of all, I do not WANT to major in communications. Why the **** should I major in communications just because you think that's what most girls major in? **** that. I do what I want and unlike you I do not let stereotypes, statistics and whores dictate MY life.

OneCurlyFry We should totally keep in touch. You seem like such a cool girl, too. Do you have MSN messenger or gmail? PM me.

just rolling out of bed and then going to class...

Haha, I was planning on doing that actually... I'm in a program where 2 of my classes next year are going to be in my dorm building. Classes with the people I sleep and shower with.

I'm not hideous, if that's what everyone's thinking right now, lol.
Why would we think that? I never gave much thought to "There are going to be all boys in my classes" or anything like that. I've only been thinking about "Which classes will I like to take?" Anyway... this making friends and gender business was and is of absolutely no concern to me.

how did this thread turn to majors?

get back to my post and read my lovely poetry to get back on track here.

I don't think anyone's going to hit on me >.<, so that's not going ot be a problem. I'm fairly good looking, but I'm 5'0", and I limp. Biology = dissections, anyway ugh.
Oh, hehe... Yeah, this boy I was talking to. I told him I didn't think anyone would hit on me because I'm black at a WASP school and I don't wear weave (I have that curly hair that a lot of black models are doing now. They say it makes them look "exotic" but its just the kind of hair I like but I don't know if the WASP boys at my school do) and I don't dress rich or hott. The only amazing feature about me is my ass and waist. But there are plenty of other asses and waists in college.

He said it doesn't matter. If your attractive at all, you'll get hit on. According to him. I don't think having a limp will stop them. There's this girl at my school with a limp, but I think I'd totally hit that. :D

Dissections are awesome. Its just that when we have to REMOVE the brain... There's something very unsettling to me about detaching the eyeballs from the brain.... and then after you do that, you have to struggle to get it off the spinal cord... and if its a baby animal, you have to be careful or you'll squish the brain and its ruined...shivers But I enjoy removing the heart, testes, whatever. It's fun XD

Um, most girls in those types of classes aren't particularly attractive, to be honest. And it was a joke.

Being close to classes is good...I was less than 2 minutes away from all my classes last year, it's awesome.

And yeah, I know, every time I come back home, people (mostly old teachers) are like, "I'm so glad you're in an all-girls dorm so you have a support system" and all that, which seems silly to me.

Ugh, yah, that does seem silly to me. A support system? Support for what?

You're in an all-girls dorm? Man, I'd never do that voluntarily. I justs very much dislike the idea of not being around half the population. Haha
Plus, boys kick things up a notch and do stupid stuff which I love.

Yeah, I know. Wasn't my choice, but the dorm is closer to classes, quite fancy (Victorian-style furniture, etc.), and the food's a lot better. However, I spend most of my time in another dorm, the general co-ed, houses 1,000 students.

Hmm if it was nicer looking with better food and closer to classes I think I would live there, too. At least for a semester to see how I like it. That's a tough choice!

quitejaded, I think Deluxe was joking.

I've never done a dissection, and I NEVER WANT TO. Argh.

I don't think he is. All of his posts are trollishly similar with the pessimistic attitude.

Is that so? Well then Deluxe has found a perfect mate in you PermanetlyJaded!

I have a serious demeanor most of the time. I am a misanthropist though I shouldn't be.

MCAT is for medical school admissions. I think you meant the GRE.

Your demeanor is MEAN and negative... that's not the same as serious. You talk like a misanthrop. Or a mysognist.

Yes, I meant MCAT.

Why would a CS major need to take the MCAT?

I'm not mean and negative because I randomly chose to be. I am as jaded as I am because of past experiences. I've seen enough and experienced enough to be sick of it all.

A CS major would need to take the MCAT in order to get into medical school.

"There's no way I'm majoring in Biology. I'll take the class so I can pass the MCAT or whatever test when the time comes."

If you walk into the MCAT having only taken biology, you are screwed.

You said you like making computer programs, so why would you even bring up the MCAT unless you didn't know what it was?

You just didn't know what the MCAT was and thought it was what the GRE is. Don't lie.

MCAT covers bio, calc, physics, and chem, so if you only majored in bio and didn't look so much into the others you'd be screwed too. CS will prep her more in physics and math, w/e it's just a little imbalanced in a difference direction.

Deluxe, dammit, I know what the MCAT is and I know I need more than biology to take it. Yes, I like computer programs, but I do not love it and unless I own a company, I don't want to code for the rest of my life. I mentioned MCAT because I'm thinking about going to medical school.

Dude, what the hell is wrong with you? Why the hell are so "black-and-white"? "Its either this or that"? ***? Are you autistic or something?
