ok soo procrastination is a HUGE problem for me (as noted in my last post) anyway i have soooooo much work to do tonight including a 60 page term paper thats due tomorrow (i was out all day w/ visiting relatives and didnt have time to start) anyway is pulling an all-nighter tonight a good idea? and if soo how does one do this lol

I hope replys to this post may help others in similar situations and we can somehow find a way to beat procrastination so that pulling an all-nighter is a last-resort.

6 pages is nothing. Get off CC and you can do it in less than 2-3 hours. All-nighters are not a good idea. I tend to be very hyper after pulling one, but I crash and burn about 5:00 that afternoon.

Do you have a computer in your house that is not connected to the internet? If so use that. Or just try and put yourself in a spot where you can concentrate more than anything. You should be able to get your paper done with everything else and sleeping. If I am able to complete a 10 page paper in an two hours and still get an A on it I have complete faith in any other CC'er to do better than me. Just exit out of whatever browser you are working in, open up word, and write.

Depends on the assignment; I wrote a 10-page term paper in two hours as well, but that was because I cared about the subject. Such assignments are much more difficult to complete if I hate the subject.

ya thats the thing, i hate the subject, and its an advanced class so a lot more effort is expected. Anyway, im on like the first two lines right now, i really dont see how im going to get htis done without an all-nighter. =(
Thanks for the input though, it has inspired me lol

I just pulled one last night - i was fine during school today, but after school, i just crashed and burned.
I think, the trick is to just forget you pulled an allnighter. Today, I tried to forget, and told no one, and maybe the brain power thing of thinkingthat it didnt happen, helped a bit.

Last night, I had 2 energy drinks accompanied with a little bottle of eyedrops.

I have varsity sports (not in season yet), lots of ECs, AP classes, and I get 6-7 hours of sleep every night. However, as I pointed out, my sports season starts this spring, so I'll probably lose an hour or two of sleep next semester.
