Never done an all-nighter and i'm a huge procastinator. I've stayed up till 4 once (doing a huge research paper in one night) but i got almost three hours sleep after that.

I absolute NEVER stay up past 7:30.

...

...

... in the morning, that is. :|

wow, patois - i'm the same way.

i come up with the greatest ideas.. i become so ambitious in the night. except, i can't really execute my drive because the rest of the world's asleep.. like, last night i wanted to call these schools i'm applying to and ask them a long list of questions i had.. at 2 AM. ..i feel like calling up old friends and having a chat and crap.. in the midddlee of the night. that's the only other time i feel like doing it. i usually end up doing a lot of reasearch ont he web.. "research", as in, planning where to go shopping and trying to figure out how to master the SAT's and.. lots of time-consuming crap liek what i'm doing right now. oh well. it's my time a lone. like you said, this is the only time when my house (and most of the world) is quiet.

once i stay up past 4, i'm up for the whole night. waking up is so much harder to o for me than to stay up.

do you sort of go in cycles, in a way, patois? i get tired around 3 or so (if i'm on a 7a-11p schedule), and then after an hour of staying up and fighting it a bit, i'm full of energy.. and then i'm down again in another 4 hours, up until noon, down, and then up past 9.. andthen i have the urge to do it again sometimes.. but if i let myself, i crash around 1 or so... weird.

Yah lol only time im up all night is for gaming. Im a huge procrastinator as well but i always manage to finsh by 430. Staying up all night is really inefficient for me because once im tired i work soooooo slow.

I have several papers due tomorrow that I haven't started, yet here I am on cc... Perhaps I should start so I can get to bed by 2:00.

i did one last month ...thats bout it ....but 4am-4.30 are common for me (i take an afternoon nap)

I think I pulled less than ~5 all-nighters during the first semester. Though I think I was up past 4am at least 10 times.

stayed up until midnight maybe a couple times in four years

usually don't work past 10 pm

goodness blairt, sounds like ur working urself quite hard! ^_^

hehe iget excited all the time too- only its usually for stupid stuff like my vogue magazine just came in or something :D

long live D&G!!! :D

hey u can call me if uwant- im usually up pretty late ^_^

Haha, I pull all nighters at LEAST once a week.

For all you people who think it's crazy, I wake up at 6 am in the morning and I often don't get home until 10:30 at night. I don't even eat between then because I'm so busy. I get home, take a shower, eat some food and by the time I start my homework it is already 12:00. When I'm up until 3 or 4 am doing AP and IB homework, it seems pointless to get in a couple hours. Lord knows there's no way I'm waking up once I close my eyes, so I resort to pulling an all nighter.

I've gotten so used to it that it isn't even an effort.

funny I should see this thread...tonight may be my first one (on a school night).

Never. They're not worth it. they just mess me up so much that I can't focus in class. I can't take a test with no sleep.

Why do so many people have to pull all-nighters? I have hard classes, but I find that if I do extra work a few days before whenever the test/paper is and work from 5pm-12am and 4am - 7am without getting distracted, I can definitely get everything done. Do you really regularly have more than 10 hours of homework a night?

Poor time management can led to pulling all-nighters (unless you have a heavy courseload, have any other extenuating circumstances, or involved in other time-consuming ECs, etc, of course) If you slack off a bit, or start HW late, then pulling all-nighters is the next option.

Whenever my girlfriend is pouty and "wound up" and has had a Red Bull and wants attention all night. About twice a week, that is.

"Approximately how many all-nighters do you pull each month?"

answer: never ever
full IB diploma candidate...

time management?

No-Doz helps guys! Ahaha.

Hopefully none after I pull an all-nighter today, tomorrow, and the day after. :p

I'm a senior and I haven't pulled an all-nighter since freshman year, at which point I was in theatre and at school until 2 AM and not getting home until later. Geometry is not fun at 3 in the morning! After that I decided I'd rather sleep, so I've stayed up to midnight and stuff, but not later. I go to sleep by 10:30 on school nights or else I do not function well.

Latest I've stayed up for school is 4:30. I go to bed around 1:30 on average, but that often isn't because of schoolwork.
