I have a meeting with a financial aid counselor (from Ithaca College) tomorrow to see if I can try to get more aid for next year's tuition. I want to go into the meeting knowing as much about ALL the opportunities for federal funding that are available to students and are dependent on financial need, since I have already been awarded the maximum amount from school grants. I know about the pell grant and SEOG grant, but was wondering if there are more programs/grants such as these that are federally funded that I could appeal for.

Also, does a university have a limited pool from which to award federal funding? Is it possible to increase the amount of pell/SEOG grant calculated, even if a situation has not changed? Anything that might help me swing a little more funding (by tomorrow morning) would be very greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Pell has no wiggle room - it is based on a federally issued table - FAFSA EFC 0 = Pell $4310. EFC 4001- 4110 = Pell$400. EFC over 4110 = $0 (for full time students ) You cannot be awarded more than you are eligible for.

FSEOG max seems to vary from school to school and the funds are limited. The max at our State school is $1000 but at others it is higher. I think it may be related to COA.
