So it looks like there are several confirmations/notifications that Princeton gives you (though this is specifically ED, I'm sure it applies to RD as well):
1) They received your application (online Princeton application--seconds after you apply)
2) A file has been opened for you (online Princeton application--a few minutes later)
3) Your application is (in)complete (???)
4) A notification from regional director about interview (Nov. 3-7???)
5) A notification from the actual interviewer (up to two weeks after 4)
6) The decision (12/15)

I realize most of this has already been posted, but from what I can tell this is summing up what I've received and heard already (for simplicity's sake). The second reason why I did this is when you receive any of the notifications 3-5, will you post it? I haven't seen anyone who has received notification 3--is that really the case?

that's wierd. i submitted my app online 20 min. before the absolute deadline and like 10 minutes later they sent me the letter saying that they opened a file for me.

Just recieved #3!!! So excited and relieved; my school's guidance department is horrendous - I was afraid they wouldn't send everything in on time... But now the waiting begins!
