all the diff polo shirts.........

I disagree.

I buy for the comfort. I have a polo from Sears and the one from Ralph Lauren is much better.

no, really. i wish they didnt use logos. i always feel kind of conscious wearing a polo, knowing that ppl are looking at my logo and judging me who i am by what brand i wear. i wish they didnt have logos. plain polos are fine with me.

Then just buy a plain polo.

I hate logos. That's why I go to the Gap. However, recently, they decided to make polos out of crap material. Ugh.

I dont understand how someone could pay $30 for a t-shirt.

( i know the OP talking about polo shirts, but still)

I only have one polo that has a logo on it, and it's from the girls' section of Old Navy (butterfly, looks identical to Aero!).
The shopping options are really limited here, so I have the Old Navy one, two from JC Penney (St. John's Bay), one from Belk and a couple from WalMart.
Of all of them, the JC Penney ones have held up the best. I've worn both shirts at least once a week and they still look and feel nice. The Belk one became stuff after a few washings, and the WalMart ones just don't fit very well. I haven't gotten to wear the Old Navy one much, because it is 3/4 sleeve.
The next ones I buy will probably be from LL Bean.

i buy polos based on comfort but most of my shirts are oxfords from j crew or the like. but lacoste polos fit so well as does ralph lauren. just remember that you are buying quality. there is a reason why these brands have been around for a long time. i bought a pair of AE jeans last year and they didnt last very long so I will never shop there again.

Don't you people feel old wearing those little animal, plaincolor polos?

no. its better than having a bunch of retarded sayings or giant fake business names or something on the shirt. we are getting older now. we need to start dressing like it.

Hmm I an interesting discovery might rise from this.

so.. wearing something like...
http://tinyurl.com/mopga
or
http://tinyurl.com/pda4d

would be bad? if so, why? you won't be wearing it to work. It would be for say, going out to the movies or etc.

thats my reason for wearing polos- i just want to start looking my age

Those are fine...just dont own more than two, or wear them regularly. otherwise you will look like a fool. Stick with plain polos more, and save that printed crap for nightime or something.

stick with oxfords..........

it continues to amaze me that people seem to want approval as to what they should buy/wear

go to a store and buy what you think looks good, in the end your confidence level is more important

when after doing this for a long time you discover "HEY! I buy x brand like 80 percent of the time and it fits well and lasts" then you should start shopping by brand

some prefer RL, some prefer AE or Abercrombie for some reason

if you want to be a corporate slave buy a magazine :)

you wear polo just to look your age? way to conform! woooooo!

comfort should be #1 when not in a business setting!

I think it's fine to wear polo shirts. I dislike a lot of dbags that wear them, but I wear them myself because I like to be able to look a little classier in an instant. They're perfect for a setting where completely dressing up isn't appropriate, but neither is wearing a tshirt. I feel like I have at least a little bit of fashion knowledge instead of looking like a slob with tshirts. They also feel pretty nice. Just if you wear a polo shirt, wear it for the right reasons, instead of to be a collarpopping dbag.

I've always found this funny... isn't it strange how the two main people who wear the shirts are really popular kids and nerds?

"stick with oxfords........"

I'm not planning on changing.. lets just consider that question a... sociological survey
