On this forum, people told me Cliffs is best review book and I got it. I am using it right now and it is pretty detailed, but still easy to understand. I'm sure my textbook is even more detailed but it is confusing and hard to use. If I go through everything in Cliffs AP review, is it good enough to give me a 5 on the AP bio test and 750+ on SAT 2?

i'd like to know that too. i spent my entire spring break studying the systems of the body. I didn't even get thru all of them (actually, i finished the immune system today, will begin respiratory system in ten min. or so). my teacher taught only up to evolution, and we aren't even done with that yet. i am so screwed. so, yeah, help!

i got a 4 with cliff's last year. (which is good in my book, since i expected a 2 or 3)
AP books aren't necessarily the best to use for SAT IIs, since the SATs cover a completely different perspective (i.e. not as detailed). my friend, who got a 5 on the AP, received only a 680 on the SATs. I think you should buy a separate book which will focus more on what you need ot know.

In that case, what book would be best for SATII Biology?
Anybody?

Yes, I tried to cover up the sections that I have not yet covered in AP Biology this past spring break week.

I did ecology and animal behavior, but was unable to finish the human body :(

A question again...about which books to use...
is cliff's better than PR...or Barron's...or REA?
please help. im quite screwed as well because our teacher has done little to prepare us...which is alright because most people can independently study it and get good results.

Im hoping for a 5, aiming for a 5, will be happy with a 4, but...pretty much be disapointed if i recieve something below a 4

lol, this may be a stupid question, but I can't figure it out: what does REA stand for??

research and Education Association.

oh....never heard of it...

Did your friend use Cliffs only for AP, too? Did he look a lot at his textbook?

Even if you use CliffsAP to review for the exam, you may want to look at some of the diagrams in your textbook. Sometimes they make concepts easier to understand. I used Cliffs + looking at diagrams in Campbell's to get a 5.

i thought that i needed to know everything in Campbell's, and when i looked at cliffs, i thought it left out many stuff. but AP is not that detailed, so it is a great review. My point is, it is not too detailed, and you cannot skip anything.
Someone last year on the forum told me that if you read Cliffs once, you get a three, read it twice, you get a 4, read it thrice, and you get a 5. I followed it, and read it thrice (b/c i didn't have any other APs) and got 5 on the exam. Also, get PR, Kaplan, and REA from library and do lots of practice tests. For SAT II, I used Sparknotes.

I'm also taking both the AP exam and the SATII in May. What did you get on your SATII (which one- M or E)? I hope cliffs if enough for a 5 on the AP exam. I was also considering Sparknotes from the website for Bio SATI (not sure E or M). How did Cliffs and Sparknotes prepare you for both tests?
