Which dorm would you recommend and does Lincoln and Allen Hall have air conditioned rooms? Also are chances of getting in any of these three slim if I apply Monday? It is possible to apply at all three?

No, LAR (Lincoln) and Allen do not have air-conditioning. Most kids say that isn't a problem except for the first few and last few months of the school year. They usually get along okay with a fan.

I currently live in Busey-Evans and I like it. It's clean and pretty (although some of the rooms are small... you can get a bigger room your sophomore year if you decide to stay). The main complaint about Busey is that the girls are somewhat antisocial. I would say more that some of them are just shy. If you are shy person, you might want to consider not living at Busey because it might be hard for you to make friends right away.

A lot of art and music majors live at Allen so it has a reputation for being a little.... weird? But not particularly in a bad way. They're very accepting of different kinds of people, so if you're uncomfortable with homosexuality or other kinds of "alternate lifestyles" you might not want to live there. They do plan lots of activites and the people are fairly nice from what I've heard.

I actually don't know a lot about LAR. I've heard it's nice.... but I'll say Busey is better just because of my bias =)

Hope that helps
