We all know that no school can be perfect for everyone but if you want to pick one that checks boxes for good academics, good faculty, high ranking, nice campus, nice town, connected alumni AND mild weather then which one comes to mind?
You left out the check box for affordability!
Let’s leave it out, it narrows down things drastically.
Hogwarts
Lol!! That’s clever but Hogwarts doesn’t meet given criterion.
Then Hogwarts since this fantasy!
Um, Stanford?
Mild weather is a significant limiting factor.
Not telling. Don’t want more competition.
Not for everyone, just for middle class. Top schools work out for very poor and very wealthy. However, let’s pretend that it’s a Sanders world and money doesn’t matter for college selection.
My vote is for Stanford.
Top schools also work out for the middle class. (Middle income)
I’m also going with Hogwarts.
stanford
Depending on the major but add UF
UCSD
Bah! Hogwarts is overrated. It has poor weather, it’s in the middle of no where, gives little in merit or need-based aid, and it’s all about which house “selects” you…and don’t even get me started on it’s complete lack of diversity…
Santa Clara University
Pomona College?
It’s too limiting, let’s forget weather.
McGill
Weather was in the top three of my kid’s college criteria list. Why would you eliminate that?
We could eliminate “nice campus” or “good town” because those would be subject to personal interpretation.
ETA…one of my kids thought Boston University was perfect. The other thought Santa Clara was perfect.
