<p>Anyone know if Alpha Lambda Delta is worth it? I've turned down numerous of these so-called "honor societies" (NSHSS, NSCS, etc) because it seems to just be a waste of money. But when I got the email inviting me to join Alpha Lambda Delta, it didn't seem like all the rest. The cost isn't as high, and the email came from the Dean of Students Office as opposed to from the organization itself. Anyone have any experience with this? What are the benefits? Is it worth the one-time $45 fee?</p>
<p>I figured that all of these are just resume fillers for kids who don’t have substantial research or work or recommendations…I turned it down. In my opinion, the only things I’m caring about would be Phi Beta Kappa, and of course, Iron Arrow.</p>
