I’m in too with an offer of 24,000 a year. plus, i’m a finalist for the Hays scholarship

Hello,
I noticed that there’s been a bit of talk about the Hays on this thread. Is anyone still doing it this weekend?

I am, 2ndSemester

So how did everyone think they did for the Hays? I think I nailed the presentation, but the interview has me slightly worried. I think I did well, but all I can do is go back and think of what I should have said. I also had a hard time reading the judges-they seemed very nice and interested, but there wasn’t much feedback.

LOL today hendrix emailed me my favorite candy (from their CA supplement), a twix bar! Hendrix seems to be doing everything right. They have awesome admissions staff, a fun application, and they really make the admitted students feel like they care. I won’t be forgetting about hendrix (or my scholarship) when I am deciding where I want to go to school.

I also received my favorite candy (Skittles) in the mail today! I wonder what would have happened if I had told them that my favorite candy is something really expensive, obscure, or unavailable in the United States…

A box of Lemonheads arrived today, with diabolically perfect timing – my daughter was waitlisted by her top choice yesterday.

I hope my gummy bears will be here tomorrow…

treefingers- I didn’t do this myself, but I’ve heard that even if it’s obscure or fancy, they will find you your favorite candy. :)

Everyone who’s planning on going to Hendrix should join this group- [Hendrix College: Class of 2015 | Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/pages/Hendrix-College-Class-of-2015/207585269269852)

See you all in the fall!

On the subject of what they do if you say your favorite candy is something expensive, obscure, or unavailable in the U.S.:

My favorite, and what I put down, is a Cadbury Crunchie bar, but I don’t remember what they gave me. XD I applied super-late, and got a call from Fred Baker (a.k.a. chillest guy ever) like three days later all excited telling me I should come down. Long story short, loved the school, but for better or worse, decided against it.

Back to the candy. I think they gave me something normal like Skittles when I visited, but they may indeed have found the elusive Crunchie. Look, it was Spring of '09… it’s been a while =)

I need to echo what’s been said here before, though - this admissions office is absolutely phenomenal.
