S applied for FYE, was denied but offered guaranteed admission to an alternate major if choice was submitted within 4 weeks. He submitted his alternate major choice last week in advance of the 4 week deadline. However, he has heard nothing back from Purdue yet, and his application status on the admissions website remains unchanged. How soon should he receive confirmation of admission to his alternate choice?
Did you call admissions to ask about the denial @bluejay89? My D was denied for one major and offered an alternative as well, but she only wants her first major. I am trying to convince her to contact the admissions office, but she is reluctant since being accepted to six other colleges. However, this was one of her first choice schools, so I don’t want to let the time frame pass. I was told by the admissions office to have your child call admissions and speak to an officer regarding this process, so I would advise your S do the same.
