Do all the prereqs for the alternate major need to be completed by spring in order to be accepted @ UCLA? This question mainly applies for non impacted majors such as Philosophy. Thanks.

Philosophy major here. Just got accepted to UCSD. No, they don’t, but you should finish either half of them or classes in that area of study. If your first major is sociology then your alternate is Physics, you may need more interweaving but first sociology and second philosophy you should be alright.

Unless your TAP, UCLA doesn’t evaluate you for your backup.

ur backup major cannot be an impacted major. so it doesn’t really matter if u completed all the prereqs or not. my alternative is phil too and i only completed one phil class.
