Just curious, in your opinion what is the best engineering major to choose if you are interested in studying alternative energy, such as hydrogen fuel cells?

I always thought it was chemical but just curious what your intake is.
Thanks

Nuclear Engineering~

material engineering

Mechanical Engineering is easily the best major for alternative energy.

Seems like EE and Chem E can work too

I agree with EE/ChemE.

Anything in Mech E, EE or Chem E or Mat sci will really prepare you to work in most alt energies, except probably fusion. However for fuel cells, your best bet is Chem E or Mat Sci, because the real problems are either fluid or chemical in nature.
