Anyone know how likely it is to get off the waitlist for ASB? I assume they waitlist everyone who isn't selected.

D was pulled off the waitlist for ASB her sophomore year. It’s hard to remember how long it took, but I seem to remember it being a couple of weeks after the initial announcement. One of my work colleagues’ freshman D was set to go last year, but pulled out after getting a better (fun) offer. Good luck!

When do students sign up for this? DS is a freshman and mentioned he was interested. I am wondering if it’s too late for him to sign up.

The applications were due in mid-October

There is always the Habitat trips … my D did those, and loved them!

Good point, @kelsmom! S did a Habitat trip to Costa Rica junior year and loved it.

How does one enroll for Habitat trip to Costa Rica? Was that through Vanderbilt?

Yes, it was through the Vanderbilt Habitat chapter. S was an officer in Habitat and that was their spring break trip that year. I really don’t know remember much more than that other than him getting appropriate shots and getting a new passport because he had aged out of his kid passport.

Unfortunately, those applications were due Nov. 9.

Thanks, @2VU0609 and @SJTH.
Any other activities for spring break?
