I am currently a senior in high school and recently, I have been looking at a lot of UCs and the programs that they offer. When I visited Davis, I was intrigued by the Food Science program, but didn't really like the location :( . My question was are there any alternative/similar majors ( would Chemical Engineering work?) that I could do for my undergraduate degree in case I wanted to pursue Food Science later on for a masters or PhD? I am asking this because I couldn't find a similar program at any other UC so I wanted to keep some options open in case I didn't go to Davis.

Thank you for your time and help! :)
