Alumni Interview Questions

Hello guys, I've been lurking the forums for a while now since I lost my previous account. Anywho, I've decided to make a new one to ask a couple questions:

1) What is the Alumni Interview exactly? Is it just like a normal interview where the interviewer asks the interviewee a list of questions, or is it more personal where the interviewee leads it persay?

2) How long, on average, does it take for the Alumni Interview request to be processed? I live in California (Silicon Valley) and can't travel to the university directly, but I hear that an Alumni Interview really helps because it shows interest (is this true?).

3) Sort of an add-on from Q2 but does CWRU take into account that you actually requested an interview, regardless if it actually ends up happening or not? Been almost two weeks without a reply for me...

Thanks in advance for reading/replying.

1) The alumni interview is a chance for you to be able to talk about yourself and the college to get more of a overall view of you, you can ask questions and learn about the Univ.
It is like a normal interview where the interviewer will ask you questions.

2) When you say processed, what do you mean? When you request an interview, if there is an alumni nearby they try to assign you to them as soon as they can. The interview it self should run about 30 minutes or so. Then the interviewer writes up notes and sends it to admission. It does indeed show interest.

3) There has to be an alumni nearby that does interviewing. Also, it is very busy time so there may be quite a few people that are requesting interviews.
