Alumni Interview Report Deadline

Does anyone know the date that all Alumni have to submit their interview reports? Is there a final deadline?

bump for an answer?

My interviewer told me it was February 20th.

I have yet to be contacted for an interview. Two friends that applied had their interviews in January. I hate to be “that kid,” but should I call the admissions office or should I just wait it out?

didnt receive an interview also ):

I’m pretty sure the date for most schools is Feb. 15th. I didn’t get an interview for Brown and so I called in, and I don’t think they had assigned anyone for me.
So I’d definitely call in, but you’re also calling in kind of late.

When I called, the person just said to wait for “them to contact you.”

Still no interview yet for me  Should I be worried?

I would be interested in hearing from a Harvard interview - are there different report dates for different applicants? For example, does Harvard request a report for one or two specific applicants by February 1st and the rest by a later date (like the suggested Feb 20th, or March 1st)?

I don’t have them with me, but the deadlines vary depending on what region you’re in. Reports are supposed to be in before subcommittee meetings if possible, but they have to be in by a certain final deadline…which I can’t recall off the top of my head. It’s sometime early in March.

When do the subcommittees meet?

When I had my interview back in early-mid January, my interviewer said the report was due in a few days. I guess every applicant has a different due date? Strange. I wonder why…

Thanks WindCloud. One quick clarification - the deadlines vary by region, not applicant, correct?

The subcommittees first met on the week of Feb. 7th (last Monday).

kaiohmichiru, jsungoh, dabrain13…don’t worry about not having been interviewed yet. Harvard receives > 35,000 applicants this year & they will be so busy sorting out the ones they want to admit into their school.
They’ll contact you if your kids fit their models. Also, alumni interviews are generally submitted asap since they may not remember our kids well if they wait too long to submit their reports. Good luck to us all!

“They’ll contact you if your kids fit their models.”

Again, this is not really the case. I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to persuade people that the being ‘selected’ for an interview or not is really a matter of chance–local availability, interviewer responsibility etc.

"interviewer responsibility "

irresponsible interviewers?

@homer, it’s entirelu possible. Most interviewers do not work for the admissions office and therefore may well consider interviewing very secondary on their list of priorities.

i just got my interview request

^Hey where are you from?
