Should I contact the university if I wasn’t yet contacted about the alumni interview ?
It certainly doesnt hurt to express your interest regarding this matter to Yale.
Hope this helps.
Noooooooooooo, please don’t contact Admissions about not yet being contacted for an interview, as Yale clearly states on their website that an interview is NOT part of the necessary requirements for admission to the college: https://admissions.yale.edu/interviews
@gibby Oh okay then. I mean it works sometimes for other colleges, so I figured it would here too. I already had my interview a month back though. I was just trying to help.
@TheGuy1: FWIW: Yale (and the rest of the ivy Admissions offices) do NOT schedule or set up interviews. Instead, they pass the applicant’s contact information on to the local alumni chapter and they let the local assign an interviewer and schedule an interview. So, calling the Admissions Office at Yale will not result in an interview. Ditto with HP et al.
@gibby I certainly thought it helps? Maybe if you said so it doesnt (I’m sure you’re more experienced in this than me). Some Colleges have a separate contact ID (email/phone) for Interviews (as a committee). I’m sure contacting there helps.
