I submitted the first part of the Georgetown App about a week ago and paid the application fee. I got an email saying they would contact me soon with contact information for the representative in my area. I have yet to receive any more information. Do i have to submit the second part of the application before I get a chance to interview? How much longer should I expect to wait before receiving the email?

I submitted all of that over a month ago and still have not been contacted. I wish I could tell you that they’ll contact you in no time, but If my case is common, then you’ve got a while. Sorry.

Does anyone who knows the system better wish to contribute, because I too would like to get an average timeframe on this. =)

I called the Office of Undergraduate Admissions yesterday. They said that they would be sending out information regarding alumni interviews “very soon.”

So, I would expect to see something show up in the next week or so.

I submitted mine July 12, and got an email September 18th (2 months later). And I am applying EA which means I’m guaranteed an interview already. So depending on your situation, you might have to wait a bit.

Hey guys, just to put some minds at rest (now and for all 2010-2011 applicants.) Once the university receives your personal data form it is sent to your regional alumni committee. From there the alumni are responsible for assigning interviewers. Your time and date will be set up between you and your interviewer. Because each committee is different, the time between sending in you application and receiving an interview varies greatly. Don’t worry if its been a month or two especially if you are applying EA, where an interview is guaranteed. These people are all volunteers with other jobs and sometimes they are just busy. Good luck!

I submitted my application in the beginning of August and still haven’t heard anything. Someone from my school sent their’s in during summer as well and had their interview last week. Should I contact the admissions office or just give it a week or two? Since I’m applying RD would that make the wait longer?

I submitted mine about three weeks ago and received the email last week, interview scheduled for this Tuesday… It says on their website to give them about a month, and if they don’t contact you by then you should call.
